12 Products in 12 Months

I am going to build 12 products in 12 months. This project was originally tried by Pieter Levels back in 2014. He launched 12 startups and a few of them like NomadList and RemoteOK ended up being successful. Jon Yongfook tried it in 2018 and eventually built Bannerbear. Many others have tried it and have had mixed success with it.

I love building software products. Small, large doesn't matter. I do it professionally and it is also my hobby. Some of my creations like uMark have been successful, others have been flops.

I am going to build what I feel like building. I am not trying to create the next million dollar SAAS. If one of them takes off it would be a bonus. Mostly I am going to build products that I would like to use and those that give me the joy of creation. Some of my latest creations have been that I personally wanted like Klipit, CamGeoPlayer and AuthWin.

Any B2B products that I launch are going to be launched under the Clickfyre brand. The idea for the first couple of products is ready in my mind - a branded URL shortener and a very simple and light-weight CRM. I am not going to be bothered by countless other solutions being already there. If there are large established companies already offering a similar solution then it means it is a ready market. I don't have to invent a new market or validate an idea. I just need to build a product that is different and offers something that an existing large player is not addressing properly. I am inspired by the success of Tally forms. In the world dominated by SurveyMonkey, TypeForm and a massive free solution like Google Forms, they have built a forms product that now makes $100K a month.

Let's begin. 🚀
